Let me tell you how Straws-berry came to life.

IT ALL STARTS WITH AN IDEA

JANUARY 2022

On a study trip to Brazil, Carl came across vast plantations... and discovered what goes on behind the scenes: tonnes of waste generated by sugar and rum production.

Back in France, as a regular at bars and restaurants, he noticed one thing: since the ban on plastic straws, no alternative had really won people over.

That's when the idea for Straws-Berry was born: create a real solution — eco-friendly and genuinely pleasant to use.

Trials, errors... and finally, a prototype!

FEBRUARY 2022

Without missing a beat, Carl dived into the world of straws, reached out to suppliers, and worked with French laboratories... After dozens of tests and just as many prototypes, he landed on the right formula: a plant fibre straw that was practical, sturdy and eco-responsible all at once.

THE VERY FIRST ORDER

SEPTEMBER 2022

Confident in his product, Carl bet all his savings on launching his first production run. Going from bar to bar across Paris, the first orders started rolling in. The adventure was on: he put his studies aside to dedicate himself 100% to the Straws-Berry adventure.

FROM SCRAPPY BEGINNINGS TO REAL GROWTH

Word of mouth worked its magic, and sales took off!
Carl built the website, grew the social media channels and hired his first team member to help keep up the pace. Straws-Berry even began exporting to Europe and North Africa!

THE TEAM GROWS!

2023-2024

To support the growth, new talent joined the adventure: marketing, sales, logistics... Bit by bit, the team took shape to write the next chapter of the Straws-Berry story.
